Definition of "Anode" |
The electrode through which a current enters and electrolyte. See Sacrificial Anode. / A positive electrode of an electrochemical device (such as a primary or secondary electric cell) toward which the negative ions are drawn. / An anode is an electrode through which conventional current flows into a polarized electrical device. A common mnemonic is ACID for "anode current into device".
