The posterior portion of the trunk of the human body between the neck and the pelvis; the dorsum. / a technique used in amplifiers when operated near saturation that reduces inter-modulation products for multiple carriers.In its implementation, the drive signal is reduced or backed off. Input backoff is the difference in decibels between the input power required for saturation and that employed. Output backoff refers to the reduction in output power relative to saturation. |
