Definition of "Bridge Rectifier" |
A full-wave rectifier where the diodes are connected in a bridge circuit (two of them are always conducting at any given time). This allows the current to the load during both the positive and negative alternation of the supply voltage. This is the most common type of rectifier circuit to produce a unidirectional voltage for an alternating input. / A bridge circuit consisting of 4 separate diodes which function as a full wave rectifier. Bridge Rectifier Circuit Description. A 4 diode bridge produced using either 4 discrete diodes, or a single package containing all four diodes [see the graphic to the right]. / A full wave rectifier where the diodes are connected in a bridge circuit. This allows the current to the load during both the positive and negative alternation of the supply voltage. This is the most common type of rectifier circuit to produce a unidirectional voltage for an alternating input. / Bridge rectifier is an arrangement of four or more diodes in a bridge circuit configuration that provides the same polarity of output for either polarity of input. / A bridge rectifier makes use of four diodes in a bridge arrangement to achieve full-wave rectification. This is a widely used configuration, both with individual diodes wired as shown and with single component bridges where the diode bridge is wired internally. / High frequency is the ITU-designated range of radio frequency electromagnetic waves between 3 and 30 MHz. Also known as the decameter band or decameter wave as the wavelengths range from one to ten decameters . / (1) a full-wave rectifier to convert ac to dc, that contains four rectifying elements for single phase, and six elements for three phase, connected as the arm of a bridge circuit. |
