Definition of "centripetal force" |
The radial force imposed by the restraining system, necessary to keep the body moving in a circular path. [Note: the centrifugal force and the centripetal force are equal and opposite]. / A force which acts on a body moving in a circular path and is directed towards the centre around which the body is moving. / force that is present during the robot motion. The force depends upon the square of the joint velocities of the robot and tend to reduce the power available from the actuators. |
