Definition of "Differential Pressure" |
Differential pressure is the difference of pressure measurements taken between two points in a system. It is usually used to measure the change in pressure of gases or liquids. / The term "differential pressure" refers to fluid force per unit, measured in pounds per square inch (PSI) or a similar unit subtracted from a higher level of force per unit. This calculation could be taken for pressures inside and outside a pipe or simply in different places along a flow path. This calculation has applications in the drilling industry. / Telemetry is the wireless transmission and reception of measured quantities for the purpose of remotely monitoring environmental conditions or equipment parameters. The term is also used in reference to the signals containing such data. |
