Definition of "Electrical Interference" |
Any undesired electrical or electromagnetic signal that interferes with the reception of the desired signal. / Any electromagnetic disturbance that interrupts, obstructs, or otherwise degrades or limits the effective performance of electronics and electrical equipment. It can be induced intentionally, as in some forms of electronic warfare, or unintentionally, as a result of spurious emissions and responses, intermodulation products, and the like. Also called EMI. / The amateur radio service is established by the International Telecommunication Union through the International Telecommunication Regulations. |
