Definition of "Frame Rate" |
The number of frames transmitted or received per unit time. / Frame rate, also known as frame frequency and frames per second , is the frequency rate at which an imaging device produces unique consecutive images called frames. The term applies equally well to film and video cameras, computer graphics, and motion capture systems. Frame rate is most often expressed in frames per second and is also expressed in progressive scan monitors as hertz. / A feeder line is a peripheral route or branch in a network, which connects smaller or more remote nodes with a route or branch carrying heavier traffic. The term is applicable to any system based on a hierarchical network. / in analog and digital video, the rate per second at which each frame or image is refreshed.
