Definition of "Half-Power Point" |
A point on a waveform or radar beam that corresponds to half the power of the maximum power point. / The half-power point of an electronic amplifier stage is that frequency at which the output power has dropped to half of its mid-band value. That is a level of -3 dB. Other names include the cutoff frequency. / A complex wave-form refers to a wave to a series of sinusoidal components that have frequencies of the fundamental and its harmonics.
