Definition of "Heat Sink" |
A mass of metal attached to the case of a transistor or other device to allow the heat to escape more easily and prevent overheating of the transistor or device. / A metallic device that dissipates or radiates into the surrounding air the heat that is generated from an integrated circuit or other device.
