IEEE 802.5 is token ring local area network technology was a protocol which resided at the data link layer of the OSI model. It used a special three-byte frame called a token that travels around the ring. Token-possession grants the possessor permission to transmit on the medium. / The Saturated calomel electrode is a reference electrode based on the reaction between elemental mercury and mercury chloride. The aqueous phase in contact with the mercury and the mercury chloride Hg2Cl2, calomel is a saturated solution of potassium chloride in water. The electrode is normally linked via a porous frit to the solution in which the other electrode is immersed. This porous frit is a salt bridge. |
