Definition of "Inverting Amplifier" |
Reverses the polarity of the input signal while amplifying it. / A circuit that inverts the input signal. The operational amplifier shown will invert the incoming signal and provide gain based in the ratio of Rf and Ri. Circuit diagram shown below. / An inverting amplifier is a special case of the differential amplifier in which that circuit's non-inverting input V2 is grounded, and inverting input V1 is identified with Vin above. / An electron is a negatively charged subatomic particle. It can be either free not attached to any atom, or bound to the nucleus of an atom. Electrons in atoms exist in spherical shells of various radii, representing energy levels. The larger the spherical shell, the higher the energy contained in the electron. / an amplifier that has a 180° phase shift from input to output. |
