Definition of "Isolator" |
A mechanical switching device which, in the open position, complies with the requirements specified for isolation. An isolator is otherwise known as a disconnector. / A device or material used to reduce the severity of applied shock and/or vibration to a packaged item. An RF device which allows microwave energy to pass in one direction, but absorbs RF power in the reverse direction. It is used to shield equipment on its input side from the effects of conditions on its output side. / Flip chip-pin grid array. A pin grid array, often abbreviated PGA, is a type of integrated circuit packaging.
