Definition of "Load" |
Describes the amount of power (amps) consumed by an electrical circuit or device. Loads are usually expressed in amps, but sometimes in watts. / A device through which an electric current flows and which changes electrical energy into another form. Power consumed by a device or circuit in performing its function. A digital load my be represented by a resistor and capacitor [for example]. TTL Load Schematics / The amount of electrical power required by connected electrical equipment. The total impedance of all the items in the output circuit. / a source drives a load. Whatever component or piece of equipment is connected to a source and draws current from a source is a load on that source. |
