Definition of "Logarithmic Receiver" |
A receiver that uses a linear logarithmic amplifier (lin-log) instead of a normal linear amplifier. / Logarithmic receiver use a linear logarithmic amplifier, commonly called a lin-lig amplifier, instead of a normal IF amplifier. The lin-log amplifier is a nonsaturating amplifier that does not ordinarily use any special gain-control circuits. The output voltage of the lin-log amplifier is a linear function of the input voltage for low-amplitude signals. / PIC is a family of modified Harvard architecture microcontrollers made by Microchip Technology, derived from the PIC1650 originally developed by General Instrument's Microelectronics Division. The name PIC initially referred to Peripheral Interface Controller. |
