Definition of "Phase Voltage" |
The voltage between the phase and neutral of a three phase system is defined as the phase-to-neutral voltage or more commonly as the phase voltage. For a balanced three phase system, the phase voltage is 1/S3 times the line-to-line voltage. The voltage across one arm of either a star-connected load or a delta-connected load is also sometimes referred to as the voltage across a phase or phase voltage.
