Definition of "Repeater" |
A station that receives a signal [on one frequency] and re-transmits the signal [on another frequency] over the air. A device that regenerates the incoming signal to the original signal level, and than retransmits that signal to increase the distance the signal can travel. An analog device that amplifies an input signal regardless of its nature, i.e., analog or digital.
