Definition of "resolvable component" |
a component of a signal that exists in a group of components (a sum of signals) such that the amplitude of the component can be approximately determined by correlation of the overall signal with a component signal of unit amplitude. Typically, the different signal components are delayed versions of the same signal received at a receiver in a channel with multipath propagation. The different delay components are then resolvable if the relative delay between any two components is greater than the reciprocal of the transmitted signal bandwidth. |
