Definition of "Setup Time" |
The time required for the input data signal at a flip flop to be valid before the incoming clock edge arrives. The time interval between the application of a signal that is maintained at a specified input terminal and a consecutive active transition at another specified input terminal. / Setup time is the minimum amount of time the data signal should be held steady before the clock event so that the data are reliably sampled by the clock. This applies to synchronous input signals to the flip-flop. / Continuous Tone-Coded Squelch System is a circuit that is used to reduce the annoyance of listening to other users on a shared two-way radio communications channel.
