Definition of "Stray Capacitance" |
Any capacitance that is caused [normally unintended] by the proximity to two circuits or elements. Also Capacitive Coupling and Parasitic Capacitance. / Any two adjacent conductors can be considered a capacitor, though the capacitance is small unless the conductors are close together for long distances or over a large area. This often unwanted effect is termed stray capacitance. Stray capacitance can allow signals to leak between otherwise isolated circuits an effect called crosstalk, and it can be a limiting factor for proper functioning of circuits at high frequency. / High-Level Data Link Control is a bit-oriented code-transparent synchronous data link layer protocol developed by the International Organization for Standardization. / undesirable capacitance that exists between two conductors such as two leads or one lead and a metal chassis. |
