The degree to which a specified material conducts electricity, calculated as the ratio of the current density in the material to the electric field which causes the flow of current. / In physics, thermal conductivity (often denoted k, λ, or κ) is the property of a material to conduct heat. It is evaluated primarily in terms of Fourier's Law for heat conduction. / Post telephone and telegraph authority had monopolies in their respective countries. This monopoly was first broken in the USA, with the UK joining somewhat later. Currently the markets are being deregulated in Europe as well as other parts of the world. |
