An X.25 WAN consists of packet-switching exchange nodes as the networking hardware, and leased lines, plain old telephone service connections or ISDN connections as physical links. X. / Point-of-Presence is an access point from one place to the rest of the Internet. A POP necessarily has a unique Internet Protocol address. Your Internet service provider or online service provider has a point-of-presence on the Internet and probably more than one.
