Admittance Triangle Since admittance has inphase component (i.e. G) as well as quadrature component (i.e. B_{L }or B_{c}), it can be represented by a right angled triangle, called admittance triangle. (i) For an inductive circuit (i.e. R + jX_{L}), the impedance and admittance triangles will be as shown in Fig. (a). Note that admittance angle is equal to the impedance angle but is *negative. For this reason, B_{L }will be along OY'axis and hence negative.
figure (a) (ii) For a capacitive circuit (i.e. R  jX_{C}), the impedance and admittance triangles will be as shown in Fig.(B). Note that admittance angle is equal to the impedance angle but of opposite sign. For this reason, B_{C} will lie along °Yaxis and hence positive \ FIGURE (B)
