MECHAÑICAL POWER DEVELOPED BY MOTOR ARMATURE Refer Fig.(a). The voltage V applied across the moor armature has to (i) overcome back e.m.f. Eb, and (ii) supply the armature ohmic drop IaRa V = Eb + IaRa This is known as voltage equation of a motor.
