Output Characteristics The plot of collector current and collector-emitter voltage for various fixed values of IB These characteristics are often called collector characteristics. The collector current is taken along the Y-axis and the collector-emitter voltage is taken along the X-axis. Figure (a) shows a typical family of output characteristics for an N-P-N transistor in CE configuration.
