TRANSISTOR AS A SWITCH In the cut-off region, the base-emitter junction is reverse biased. It is equivalent to an open switch. In saturation region, the base-emitter junction is forward biased and the base current is sufficient to drive the collector current to saturation. This is equivalent to a closed switch between the collector and emitter. At cut-off, (VEE)Cut-off = VCC. The leakage current is neglected and other current is considered as zero. | |
