Definition of "Angular Rate Sensor" |
Angular rate sensor measure a change in angular velocity about an axis in degrees per second or radians per second. These instruments use vibrating structure gyroscopes. The main automotive application of these sensors is to determine the yaw vehicle rotation about its vertical axis or roll vehicle rotation about its lengthwise horizontal axis angle of the vehicle. These sensors play a key role in electronic stability control systems. Two types of angular rate sensor are used for automotive applications. / Cyclic Redundancy Code is an error-detecting code commonly used in digital networks and storage devices to detect accidental changes to raw data. Blocks of data entering these systems get a short check value attached, based on the remainder of a polynomial division of their contents; on retrieval the calculation is repeated, and corrective action can be taken against presumed data corruption if the check values do not match. |
