Definition of "Antenna Figure Of Merit" |
Antenna Figure of Merit is a figure of merit in the characterization of antenna performance, where G is the antenna gain in decibels at the receive frequency, and T is the equivalent noise temperature of the receiving system in kelvins. T is the summation of the antenna noise temperature and the RF chain noise temperature from the antenna terminals to the receiver output. / Control transmitter is an electronic device which, with the aid of an antenna, produces radio waves. The transmitter itself generates a radio frequency alternating current, which is applied to the antenna. When excited by this alternating current, the antenna radiates radio waves. |
