Definition of "Axial Lead" |
An electrical component that has its terminals [leads] protruding out two sides of the component body, along the devices axis. A through-hole component. Refer to a picture of an axial leaded component to the right. / Axial Lead coming out of the ends and along the axis of a resistor, capacitor, or other axial part, rather than out the side. / Expansion Card also expansion board, adapter card or accessory card in computing is a printed circuit board that can be inserted into an electrical connector, or expansion slot on a computer motherboard, backplane or riser card to add functionality to a computer system via the expansion bus. |
