Definition of "Braid Wire" |
Braid wire is typically used for flexible applications, and can be formed into a flat shape or a tube shape, depending on what you need to use it for. Braided wire, however, consists of more than just conductive metal. It can be comprised shielding, as well, and is grounded only at one end. The function of a tubular steel braid is to form a protective sleeve around the conductive wires it shields. / In half wave rectification of a single-phase supply, either the positive or negative half of the AC wave is passed, while the other half is blocked. Because only one half of the input waveform reaches the output, mean voltage is lower. Half wave rectification requires a single diode in a single-phase supply, or three in a three-phase supply. |
