Definition of "Braided Wire" |
A wire composed of some number of smaller wires which are woven together. For more detail refer to Wire Braid used with Cable. / A braided wire is composed of a number of small strands of wire braided together. Similar to stranded wires, braided wires are better conductors than solid wires. Braided wires do not break easily when flexed. Braided wires are often suitable as an electromagnetic shield in noise-reduction cables. / A half-wave voltage doubler is an electronic circuit which charges capacitors from the input voltage and switches these charges in such a way that, in the ideal case, exactly twice the voltage is produced at the output as at its input. |
