Definition of "Common-Mode Voltage" |
The voltage common to both input terminals of a device. In a differential amplifier, the unwanted part of the voltage between each input connection point and ground that is added to the voltage of each original signal. The voltage common to both input lines of a balanced amplifier. / Common-mode voltage is the component of an analog signal which is present with one sign on all considered conductors. In telecommunication, common-mode signal on a transmission line is known as longitudinal voltage. / In computing, a nibble often nybble or even nyble to match the vowels of byte is a four-bit aggregation, or half an octet. As a nibble contains 4 bits, there are sixteen 24 possible values, so a nibble corresponds to a single hexadecimal digit,thus, it is often referred to as a "hex digit" or "hexit". |
