Definition of "counter-rotating field theory" |
mathematical theory in which a magnetic field with stationary spatial direction but sinusoidally varying magnitude is decomposed into two constant-magnitude fluxes rotating in opposite directions. The angular velocity, !, of the rotating fluxes equals the time-domain angular frequency of the stationary flux, and the magnitude of the rotating fluxes is half the magnitude of the stationary flux. |
