Definition of "Duplex Communication System" |
Duplex communication system is a point-to-point system composed of two connected parties or devices that can communicate with one another in both directions, simultaneously. An example of a duplex device is a telephone. The people at both ends of a telephone call can speak at the same time and simultaneously each be heard by the other at the same time. / In physics, a wavefront is the locus of points having the same phase: a line or curve in 2d, or a surface for a wave propagating in 3d. Since infrared, optical, x-ray and gamma-ray frequencies are so high, the temporal component of electromagnetic waves is usually ignored at these wavelengths, and it is only the phase of the spatial oscillation that is described. |
