Definition of "Electrostatic Meter" |
These basically work on the principle that the force (or torque) of attraction is proportional to the product of the charges and the force is proportional to the square of the voltage. Thus this meter reads the mean square value and hence is calibrated to read the root mean square value. The electrostatic meter is basically a voltmeter. / These basically work on the principle that the force of attraction is proportional to the product of the charges and the force is proportional to the square of the voltage.
