Definition of "Faraday Cage" |
A enclosure composed of a conducting material that shields the contents of the cage from electric fields and electromagnetic radiation. Although the amount of electromagnetic interference that is blocked depends not only on the frequency of the EMI but the spacing of the mesh used as the cage. A solid metal cage blocks all EMI regardless of the frequency. / Faraday cage or Faraday shield is an enclosure formed by conducting material or by a mesh of such material. Such an enclosure blocks external static and non-static electric fields by channeling electricity through the mesh, providing constant voltage on all sides of the enclosure. / Individual tubing network to serve only one subscriber. Upstream it is limited by the subscriber & first exclusive use wall box and downstream by the exit boxes. |
