Definition of "gateway" |
The Gateway is a computer which provides interfaces between the local computer system and one or several SCADA (or RCC) systems. / A gateway is a link between two computer programs or systems such as Internet Forums. A gateway acts as a portal between two programs allowing them to share information by communicating between protocols on a computer or between dissimilar computers. / A gateway is a network point that acts as an entrance to another network.
