Definition of "Hybrid Circuit" |
A circuit where passive components (resistors, capacitors) are deposited onto a substrate made of glass, ceramic, or other insulating material. Then the active components (diodes, transistors) are attached to the substrate and connected to the passive components on the substrate with a very fine wire. / HIC, hybrid circuit, or simply hybrid is a miniaturized electronic circuit constructed of individual devices, such as semiconductor devices and passive components, example resistors, inductors, transformers, and capacitors, bonded to a substrate or printed circuit board . / Output dynamic impedance may be specified as graphs Versus frequency, while output ripple noise mains hum or switch-mode hash noise may be given as peak-to-peak or RMS voltages, or in terms of their spectra. / (1) a circuit based on at least two different technologies. For instance, a circuit built by using solid state circuits and tubes. |
