Definition of "I/Q" |
1. I/Q modulation is a method for combining two channels of information into one signal so that they can be separated at a later stage. Two quadrature carriers, 90 degrees out of phase, are modulated, then combined. Abbreviated from "in-phase/quadrature-phase" which refers to the two carrier signals' phase relationship. 2.
