Definition of "Junction Box" |
An electrical construction box that provides a space for the connection or “splicing” of the electrical conductors. Connections inside the junction box are usually accomplished with twist-on electrical conductors, called wire nuts. / A box with a cover that serves the purpose of joining different runs of wire or cable and provides space for the connection and branching of the enclosed conductors.
