An audio control used to adjust frequencies in the middle of the audio range [not found on modern audio gear]. Also refer to an example Midrange Adjustment Circuit. / An audio Midrange control combines both a Base control and a treble control in the same circuit, just as the Tone control does. Midrange adjustment are found on higher-end audio gear in addition to a Treble and Bass Control. However the usage of a Midrange has faded and no longer found on modern audio gear.
