Definition of "Primary Cell" |
A battery where the chemical charges are irreversible - i.e. it can't be recharged. / An electrochemical cell in which the chemical action eats away one of the electrodes, usually the negative electrode. / Cell that produces electrical energy through an internal electrochemical action. Once discharged a primary cell cannot be reused. |
