a semiconductor memory device that has a primary function of storing data in a nonvolatile fashion that can be programmed to contain predetermined data by means other than photomasking. PROMs may be onetime programmable (OTP) or may be either UV or electrically eraseable, depending on the particular semiconductor process technology used for manufacturing. |
