Quadrature modulation in which the two carriers are amplitude modulated. (QAM). / Quadrature Amplitude Modulation is a method of combining two amplitude-modulated signals into a single channel, thereby doubling the effective bandwidth. QAM is used with pulse amplitude modulation in digital systems, especially in wireless applications. / A bit which acts as a check on a set of binary values, calculated in such a way that the number of 1s in the set plus the parity bit should always be even or occasionally, should always be odd. |
