Definition of "Radio Frequency Choke" |
A choke designed to impede currents in the RF range. / A Radio Frequency choke is a variation of chokes used in insulated wire. These are coils of wire often wind on a magnetic core, used as passive inductors with blocks of higher-frequency alternating currents. The name comes from blocking or chocking the high frequencies when passing low frequencies. / A type of electronic circuit that prevents malfunction by stopping the flow of current or sounding an alert. / an inductance (a coil of wire) intended to present a very high impedance at radio frequencies.
