Definition of "Voltage Doubler" |
A capacitor charge pump circuit which produces an output voltage which is twice the input voltage. / A rectifier circuit that outputs a DC voltage that is twice the peak voltage of the input AC voltage. The voltage doubler circuit rectifies each half cycle of the AC input voltage and combines the rectified voltages using the capacitor to produce twice the peak amplitude of the input AC voltage. / A voltage doubler is an electronic circuit which charges capacitors from the input voltage and switches these charges in such a way that, in the ideal case, exactly twice the voltage is produced at the output as at its input. / Digital Loop Carrier is equipment that bundles a number of individual phone line signals into a single multiplexed digital signal for local traffic between a telephone company central office and a business complex or other outlying service area. |
