Water Born Diseases are :- 1. Bacterial infections : Typhoid fever and
cholera. Paratyphoid and bacillary dysentery and
hemorrhagic jaundice.
2. Leptospirosis : This is known as hemorrhagic
jaundice. Rats and dogs are their carriers.
3. Worm infections : The eggs and larvae
of intestinal worms may reach water courses from
human and animal carries either directly or in
washings from the soil.
4. Viral infections : Virus of infections
hapatitis, a number of half a dozen virus groups
constituting over 100 different strains are known
to be present in the faeces of infected persons.
