Climate is the general aggregate of the
weather closely related to meteorology and
geography. It is a composite of weather conditions
over a long period of time truly portrayed. Unit storm is defined as a rain of such duration that the period of surface runoff is not appreciably less for any rain of shorter duration. Interception is portion of the rainfall absorbed or intercepted by leaves, branches, trunks of dry trees and vegetation. Transpiration is that portion of water which after circulation through plant structure goes to atmosphere in the form of vapor from the surfaces of leaves, branches etc. Inter-flow is the part of infiltrated water which reappears in the streams on the surface of the earth. Evaporation Owing to heat energy of the sun, water is constantly changing its form to vapor from soil and water surfaces. This vapor goes to atmosphere as evaporation. | |
