Base Bias or Fixed Current Bias

The schematic diagram is shown in Figure (a). Since both the collector and base are positive with respect to the common electrode, i.e., emitter, single battery can be used to obtain the required voltages across the two.

This method is not very satisfactory because bias voltage and current do not remain constant during transistor operation
