Capacitors in Parallel

Consider the circuit shown in Figure (a) consists of N parallel capacitors. A current source is applied to the circuit. The total current applied to the circuit is the sum of the individual currents flowing in the circuit.

From the above equation, we get

The resultant capacitance of any number of capacitors in parallel is the sum of the individual capacitances.
