Differential Amplifiers

There are three basically closed loop differential amplifier configurations, namely differential amplifiers using (i) one OP Amp, (ii) two OP Amps, and (iii) three OP Amps. These amplifiers mainly amplify the difference between the two input signals. These amplifiers are mainly used in instrumentation, because:

• They are able to reject common mode signals as compared to inverting and non-inverting amplifier.
• They present a balanced input impedance.
